In 2025, Hansen Marine designed, manufactured, and installed the floating structures for four swimming sites in the Île-de-France region, including two in the heart of Paris. These landmark developments represent a major step forward in the revival of open-water swimming, providing accessible, safe, and seamlessly integrated spaces within their environments.

The swimming site at Bras Marie, in Paris.
A site in the heart of Paris.
Located between the Pont de Sully and the Pont Marie, on the secondary branch of the Seine, this new swimming area enhances the Paris Plages initiative.
With a 150-meter-long riverside footprint, it offers a unique experience in the very center of Paris, while temporarily occupying part of the navigation channel during designated swimming hours.
Hansen Marine is supplying 78 linear meters of floating pontoons, along with various amenities including PMR access walkways, benches, safety buoys, showers, and furniture such as storage lockers.

Two swimming sites at Quai de Bercy, Paris.
The largest swimming site in Paris
Located on either side of the Simone de Beauvoir footbridge, two pools stretch across 110 meters of riverside.
The swimming site includes:
- A large pool measuring 68 meters long by 12 meters wide.
- A smaller pool measuring 36 meters long by 13.5 meters wide
Hansen Marine is supplying galvanized steel floating pontoons, access walkways, staircases, as well as ramps leading to the pontoons.

Natural swimming site in Val-de-Marne.
The City of Joinville-le-Pont, with the support of Paris Est Marne & Bois, is offering a new riverside swimming site on the Marne, designed to welcome all audiences.
Hansen Marine designed and installed all the floating structures: two pools — including a 200 m² paddling pool and a deep 863 m² swimming area — 650 m² of pontoons, articulated walkways, and accessibility features for persons with reduced mobility (PRM). A sustainable, safe development integrated into its natural surroundings.

Swimming site in Maisons-Alfort

The Public Territorial Authority Paris Est Marne & Bois commissioned Hansen Marine to design, manufacture, and install the floating structures for the Maisons-Alfort swimming site, officially opened on June 28.
Located on Avenue Foch in the Val-de-Marne department (94), this site offers a total swimming area of 500 m².
It includes a shallow pool with a grated bottom for younger users, as well as a deeper pool accessible via two walkways at each end, bordered by 56 meters of floating pontoons.

A legacy of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games
Hansen Marine designed, manufactured, and installed the starting pontoon for the triathlon and paratriathlon events of the 2024 Olympic Games, located at the foot of Pont Alexandre III in Paris.
