Paris 2024 Olympic Games

Design, manufacturing, and installation of floating structures for the Olympic triathlon, paratriathlon, and open water swimming events in the Seine.

Hansen Marine Projects

Designed and built in our workshops in the Paris region, we delivered and installed:

  • 90 meters of floating pontoons, 6 meters wide, for the athletes’ starting area.
  • Two aluminum PRM access walkways, one on each riverbank.
  • A dedicated marina for rescue teams.
  • A medical pontoon for emergency interventions.
  • A temporary dock to facilitate logistics.

Night-time assembly of the structures

Our teams were responsible for the night-time assembly of the athletes’ starting pontoon, installed in the heart of the Seine. The competitions took place in the morning, and once the events were over, we carried out the dismantling of the structures. The equipment was then stored dockside, allowing the Seine to quickly reopen for navigation.

Each stage was carried out with impressive precision and expertise.
A true logistical feat that helped make this event an unforgettable moment for everyone.
